First: Ask yourself "What's working?"
- Maybe a condition of your space or time of day you work on the project. If there are 1-3 things that are working for you and your project, write them down.
- Maybe nothing is working which leads to the question: "Why?"
- Maybe nothing is working because you're unclear about something. Your response to why will reveal something you can/need to do.
Second: Ask yourself "What isn't working?"
- Maybe you block 2 hours every Friday morning but you end up moving it or scheduling over it.
Third: Ask yourself "What is 1 thing I can do today?"
- Think about what would be a bridge between what is and isn't working.
- Maybe you need to pick a different day or a shorter block of time. Are Saturday afternoons better? Is 30 minutes on Friday morning more doable?
- Do 1 thing today: rearrange your calendar. clean up your workspace. schedule the meeting. ask someone for advice. give yourself a pep talk.
Everything takes effort. One decision at a time. One action at a time. They stack up to create the things dreams are made of.
Don't sell yourself short by giving up or procrastinating til forever when one bridge action or decision will open the valve to momentum.
When I have ideas for projects, I can get caught up in the end result and at times neglect to create the conditions for a joyful journey. We all do it.
Notice if you're doing it, then ask yourself what's working, what isn't working and what's one thing I can do today?
The planet of structure and endurance (Saturn) has been in Pisces (our need to dream and create) since March of 2023 and will leave in May.
What have you been dreaming of? What have you been wanting to create? How can you leverage your capacity to get shit done over the next 3 months?
Happy Pisces season.
Love,
Annie
