I hope you're having a good first week of December and, despite anything that may be causing stress in your heart or mind, you're proud of all that you did to get here.
Below are updates from my life, opportunities to grow together, delights of 2025, and a wish for you as this crazy calendar year nears its godforsaken end.
Opportunities to grow together
I've machete'd what I do down to what’s most joyful for me and can live alongside the emergence of my life, art and future.
Through gathering, virtually and in person, opportunities for paradigm shifts are created.
In thought partnership, we sort out challenges and opportunities, opening up aha-inducing possibilities.

I made it through my third semester and I think it was my favorite. And I'm absolutely exhausted. I can’t seem to get enough sleep the last few nights.
My last projects required a lot of me. Late nights and a bunch of bending, cranking my neck, crouching and putting my whole body into it.
Below is my final piece from The All Over: Pattern In Art with Amanda Curreri. If you have a chance to learn from her or see her art, do it! Follow her on IG at the very least.
Falling Upward birch leaves, cottonwood, embroidery thread 6 1/2 feet L x 6 1/4 feet wide x 8 inches deep
I loved Intro to Printmaking with Yoma Wilson. Follow him too! This is one of my lithographs, titled Cirro.
Job Search
I think you know I'm looking for a full-time job. The big update is that I'm open to relocation.
I couldn't be more ready for a change of pace that working towards a shared purpose with others brings. I'd love to be working with a mission-driven, creative team. This could be a creative agency, company or well-resourced nonprofit.
Here's my resume and portfolio. Please keep sharing roles that make you think of me! I'm grateful to everyone who's been emailing, texting and DMing me.
Instagram handle change
When I started my IG account in early 2018, I was on sabbatical and had started a blog documenting my anxiety, epiphanies and sweet little whimsies. The blog was called This Beloved and so was my IG handle.
In November 2018 I started Mariposa Strategies and changed IG to match.
Evolving again, @therealanniesanchez more accurately reflects what's up with me today.
If you're interested, my old blog lives here (not a great place for it, but whatevs — you can only get there if you have the link).
Delights of 2025
My first art show
Absolutely delighted! LOLOL
Nature
Really good art!
Helen Pashgian
Maja Ruznic
Agnes Martin
Paul Klee
Enjoying art with the kids in my life
Getting out of the house with my beloved
Stuff I read, watched & listened to
Not everything, but what I especially liked or got a lot out of:
The Great British Bake Off (I'm gonna become a baker next)
Severance (loved watching it with Noa 💕)
The Americans (one of the best shows, just started it again)
Mad Men (we watch every other year — never gets old)
Nobody Wants This (easy to watch, on Netflix)
My wish
Cathartic rest, guttural laughter and a sense of contentment after the hardest year we have ever experienced.
If you need something funny, I recommend anything Samantha Irby or R. Eric Thomas ever wrote, especially this, this, this and this — I highly recommend their books on audio because they’re both ridiculous.
A friend and client recently sent me a generous tip out of the blue because she said she gets a lot out of the work we do together and suggested I invite others to consider doing the same. 😌
